Nuts are ideal if you want to lose weight, or if you want to reduce the chance of developing type 2 diabetes. Studies have even found that heart disease and stroke were more common in those who did not eat nuts at all, so it is always a good idea for you to opt for foods such as this if you can. If you don’t like nuts, consider mixing some into a smoothie, so you can get all of the benefits, without the taste.

 

Avoid Processed Foods

Ultra-processed foods, or foods that are higher in modified ingredients will always be harmful to your health. Some examples here include fast food, frozen meals and even package cookies. Chips are also very bad for you. The main reason for this is because they contain UPFs, which are highly palatable. This means they are overeaten, and activate the part of the brain that is responsible for rewards. Foods like this tend to contain empty calories, so make sure that you avoid them where possible and opt for fruit or even granola bars if you do fancy a snack.

 

Be Mindful Of Bad Habits
