Letter From A Young Lymphoma Survivor

by | Nov 8, 2021 | Breast Cancer

Hi Jaymee,

I just want to say thank you so much for writing “That Sh*t Called Cancer”. I’m a 26-yr old Filipina and I  was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. I am in the middle of chemotherapy (and on the verge of just giving up).  And your book just gave me so much hope.

Thank you for perfectly encapsulating just how shitty this whole ordeal is. It was difficult to accept and process my emotions but reading your story just made it clearer. You are such an inspiration and I wish you all the best in your journey!

Hi C! Thank you for buying and reading my first book and I’m so glad to hear that it is helping you in this journey. Thank God you’re one of those people who appreciate my honesty when I refer to cancer as something sh*tty because it really is! But no matter how much of a hassle it is, there’s always a way if there is a strong will to keep on.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been diagnosed at such a young age. You don’t deserve this at all. No one does. But life can be random sometimes. What’s important is you’re still moving forward, celebrating your little wins as you go and making the best out of the situation that you have.
Keep the hope alive, my friend! Just like I said in my book, for as long as you’re breathing and functioning, you are still winning. And I’m right here cheering you on.

Lots of Love & Healing,
Jaymee 🙂
